Advanced Eyecare & Optical staff

Christine Hill

I began working for Dr. Wylie 9 years ago, before that I worked for Spokane Public Schools for 16 years as the Director of the before and after school programs at an elementary school. I also spent 3 years working as an instructional assistant in the classroom setting and specifically worked one on one with Autistic and ADHD children.

I now enjoy using my extensive background in childhood development and learning as a Vision Therapist. Everyday I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Advanced Eyecare team. I love seeing my patients grow and learn how to use their visual systems efficiently. I love when parents come in with a smile on their face and a report from their child’s teacher that the student is accelerating in reading, writing, or math. Changing lives is such a great feeling. I just know that each patient will grow up and conquer the world.

When I am not spending time doing Vision Therapy, I love to travel, read, and do crafts. I love to garden and grow flowers. During the summer my family and I love to go boating and camping. I am happily married and have been for the last 24 years. We have two wonderful grown sons, three beautiful grandchildren, and now my husband and I are raising two lovely girls, ages 12 and 15. Of course we cannot forget our three, four-legged doggies: Rowdy, Peppie, and Mr. G.

The desire to help others was instilled in me at an early age. Growing up in the Wylie household, I remember many nights around the dinner table when Dad told us about the many different patients he had met that day and how he was able to help them.

I started working for Dr. Wylie (my dad) as a Vision Therapist 8 years ago. I have enjoyed working in this field. I love to play the detective and figure out what pieces of a patient’s developmental puzzle are missing and help them gain new skills and abilities. It is a great thing to be instrumental in bringing about positive changes in my patients’ lives.

I have lived in Spokane for most of my life and love this area with its beautiful four seasons. I love downhill skiing, taking walks, camping, target shooting, and planting flowers. I also enjoy cooking and playing music with my friends and family.
